Evaluating Failed, Ongoing, and Successful Decentralized Interventions for Drinking Water in Developing Countries

This program addresses a critical gap in engineering education by integrating technical problem-solving with the social, cultural, political, and economic factors that shape real-world water access challenges. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and field-based learning in the United States, Kenya, Tanzania, and Colombia, students evaluate sustainable water treatment technologies while exploring their impacts within different community contexts.
